Healthy Hack: Shamrock Shake☘

March is the season for basketball, St. Patrick's Day and the beloved fast food Shamrock Shake!

The only thing I love more than mint/chocolate is peanut butter + chocolate, so you can imagine I adore these tasty treats. What I don't love is the calories and chemicals.

I mean, what is my body going to do with 54 ingredients?!? I am pretty sure that thing is going to stick to my hips and love me way past springtime!

So I was really grateful when my friend shared this healthier version of a shamrock shake with all the yummy deliciousness of mint and chocolate!

This baby has just a handful of ingredients and they are all plants. No chemicals, artificial flavorings or food dyes here.

Here's the recipe

8 oz plant milk (I use almond)

1 handful spinach

1/2 banana

2 Tbs chocolate chips

1 drop peppermint essential oil (food grade)

You can add ice if you like it thick. I use a frozen banana and often my spinach gets frozen too because I don't use a whole bag of fresh before it starts to turn.

If you try the recipe be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you think! Forward to a friend who loves Shamrock Shakes!

The Vanilla drink mix is use is beyond amazing. It has 15 different plants in it covering mushrooms for D vitamins and Spirulina for B vitamins. The protein blend comes from 4 different plant sources and all the ingredients are sourced from family sized farms. I have some friends who swear they run faster after they added this into their daily intake. It is used by the US Olympic team at their training facilities. It is so clean and safe, I feed it to my pre-adolescent girls daily! Makes this healthy mama feel confident knowing their brains have what they need to concentrate and be there best at school! It definately made a difference in my waist line! Contact me if you'd like to know more!
